[ Issue 7 / November 2013]

In the mornings
I am nameless, faceless

a patchwork of bits of yesterday
appliquéd to a floating tomorrow

Hopes make a soft fistula between the
fingers I keep crossed for today

Sunlight arrives like therapy
Yet, darkness lingers in the iris, in the spine

Moments are dust
to be shaken off and floated

with riverine intentions
into the sea of time
