Rumyana Mihaylova

Rumyana Mihaylova is a Bulgarian poet who sometimes creates oil-paintings, a photographer who often explores the moving image, and a writer who enjoys working with numbers. She is a Fulbright and Thanks to Scandinavia alumna with a M.A. in Media Studies from The New School. Rumyana has worked as a marketing manager and copywriter for a big international company and a screenwriter for a much smaller Bulgarian production house. She is currently serving as a project manager for The Bulgarian Forensic League. In her free time, Rumyana writes fairy tales in Bulgarian and poetry in English and explores the diversion of identity that comes with language.
