[Issue 2 / August 2012]
The Arabian Nights, Denver, Four Brothers
and a lonely quivering peg
curing the sores of nostalgia
emerging from the breeze of a dry winter
vanish like the ghostly hissing
of withered leaves in freezing midnights.
Surrendering myself to the whimsical alcoholic beats,
a ball dance pops within me.
My lady of fantasy shapes itself in the reflection
of the whisky bottle.
A wounded butterfly falls and struggles
in my glass before I could have my ultimate peg.
